Fifty of the country’s most promising food and drink entrepreneurs are to be recognised as Food Stars for their contribution to the UK’s growing economy. The 50 Food Stars, carefully selected from hundreds of award-winning businesses, range from fiery Scotch bonnet pepper sauce makers in Scotland to chocolatiers using Indian spices in London (Duke of Delhi – thats us!)
Launching the Food Stars network, Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss said, “We are a nation of firsts; we invented self-raising flour and introduced the first modern chocolate bar. As a country we have always been a place where sparky entrepreneurs come up with great innovations in food and drink, people with the ambition to grow and take on the world.”
Goes without saying The Duke of Delhi is chuffed to bits!
Its been a long time coming and they are here….our Bombay Mix buttons…crispy morsels of Bombay Mix enrobed in dark and milk chocolate in a melt in the mouth button…the Duke is pleased!
It is our four year anniversary of being stocked on the shelves at London’s Fortnum and Mason – back in November 2012 we introduced our mixes. So to celebrate we had this illustration made. We love that store and are delighted to make it four years. Its also our first ever shop the Duke of Delhi was stocked in so we are naturally quite proud.
